There's less grease in that than a hamburger and fries. There's no grease in hot dogs.

For those of us who go thru a two liter in 3 days that's a huge cut in caloric intake. When I graduated college stopped walking all over campus and got a desk job, I put on 25 pounds in a year. I switched to diet soda and 15 of them came back off. That's why I drink diet soda, even as I sit here at my desk munching fritoes and cheeze doodles like there's no tomorow. I realize so long as I refuse to cut my junkfood consumption, I'll never get back into my size 2s, but it's just not worth it to me to take that extra step, but cutting the regular soda was an easy step to take. 8^) |

In the end it really is a wash with the caloric intake with fries vs onion rings. Some places onion rings are worse and others it is the fries that are worse.
They are both equal IMO.
I don't have an issue with what s/he is eating. I know I couldn't, but that's me. My husband could and he's not a huge pig of an eater really. He says he is, but he really isn't. I do admit to usually picking foods ahead of time because I am very indecisive as well as being picky. I have agreed to go to some restaurants after seeing a menu. I don't think I've ever picked weeks in advance though.

Am I the only person who just likes to drink plain old water with meals? To me, a soda is an occasional thing, like at the movie theatre or something. With
fine dining I drink wine, and if I'm out with friends eating Mexican I'll probably do margaritas. But for everyday I'm a water girl.
Chili dogs are OK, but I'd only want a small one, or to share. And you can keep the onion rings - yuck! I would nibble on a few fries, but those things fill me up quickly, so I couldn't eat a lot of them. |

Bajanswife, that would be me now. I have a coke now and then, but in general I do not drink the stuff. We have a bunch of Mt Dew Throwback in the basement. I
think I drink one ever 2-3 weeks. Most of the time when I eat out I drink water (no lemon too please). I'm sure some people think I am cheap, but it is
just what I like best.
I do drink juice or lemonade now and then, but in general I prefer water. so much so when we had to replace our fridge I had a requirement of water & ice through the door.

I also kind of "plan" meals. I mean, I go over the menus on allears in order to make my ADRs. There are some restaurants I think have nice theming,
but when I then look at the menu, I know they have nothing I want there.
Or, I have seen these amazing pics on the food porn thread, and I know I just have to have it! You can blame me and bless me, but you cannot possess me, cause I belong to me... - Elisabeth, the musical
