I just can't read that scary DIS thread, those people are friggn scary in their tenacity.
Just wondering where everyone was in the process. Tomorrow we go on the 5th of 7 tours. He's narrowed it down to Georgetown (big stretch), Loyola, Villanova, American University, St. Mary's College of Maryland, William and Mary and U of Maryland. Maryland would be the cheapest but it's his least favorite. Of course the one that is the hardest to get into and the one least likely to give us merit aid (Georgetown) is the one he likes best. 2nd choice is between Loyola and Villanova. We have 3 more ro see so that could change.
Was not pleased to see I need to cough out even more money for the SAT Subject tests. I already paid for the SAT and ACT, now I am finding out he needs the subject tests too. I could cry thinking how easy it was when I went to colege - you picked a place, sent off your application, got the letter and that was it. This is like a full time job. I'll be so glad once he's done the applications and we know where he's been accepted. Then I can start thinking about how we are going to pay for it.
Anyone else? Would love a place to discuss with others going thru the process.
