We're thinking of going to Universal for a few days this summer before going on a cruise. I haven't been there in ages. Last time I was there, there was only one park and no hotels.
Our dates would be 8/24-8/29. I'm trying to decide between a family suite at Cabana Bay and regular room at Royal Pacific. We're a family of 5 so Cabana Bay would be nice since it's a little bigger and has a sleeper sofa. It's also much cheaper. But you don't get FOTL passes. I don't know if it's worth booking Royal Pacific just to get the passes and be in a smaller room with only 2 beds. I know that it's a slower time of year but I don't know how slow. Will I regret not having the pass?
Also, does anyone know if they usually offer discounts for late summer and when they usually come out? Right now Magical Vacations has a deal that's 20% off at RPR or HRH. But I don't know if that's a good deal or if something better normally gets released later on.
