I've done it (been DEAD, not near death, actually dead) and I still don't now exactly what to think of it, nor has anyone that I've encountered in support groups. How did you get to that point of zen?ETA: Surely it at least gives you pause?
the thought of death is not something that bothers me.

I was dead for 3:35
previous to dying
I was dead for only 3:35
the whole being dead thing is super overwhelming.

She doesn't have any children, but she is a godmother to many and also sponsors children in other countries. She is one of those people you hear about who comes into your life at just the right time and for a purpose. She is one of my dearest friends, and I always wish her a happy mother's day.
DH and DD have asked what I want for mother's day. Same thing I want every year: to sleep in as late as I want. I might let them take me to Sephora, I have my eye on a few travel-size perfumes.

I'm very active, but due to a major brain injury (fine now) and dying, my sternum was dislodged and will never be perfect (due to CPR), so snowing skiing (which I hate anyway) and water skiing, mountain biking, and rock climbing are out for me. I'm a barre person and its great for me, but I'm not going to meet men in most of the active things I can participate in. I'm alive though, and once you've had to re-learn to walk, you get really grateful, even with limitations. I used to go to the rock climbing gym, and I know I could meet men there, but that's just not an option, and that's ok!
Its just a matter of weeding through the trash no matter how you meet someone!
I really wanted it to work, he was really nice. It was one of those "great on paper" and he was a sweetheart. My heart wasn't in it, and his wasn't either. Least dramatic break ever. Kinda proves that there's no accounting for chemistry, and also, that nice guys can be found on Tinder.

It's a thread about losing weight quickly, generally due to stress or illness. I bet she thought she'd win the "prize" of most weight loss the fastest. But since she posted so quickly, she's already been outdone. I'm waiting for her to come back and tell us, no she really lost 20 more pounds a day than she originally said.

I'm completely unsurprised that she would chime in on that thread.

My DH saved my life. I had what I thought was the stomach flu. I'm in the bathroom, sitting on the toilet, when I passed out. My DH ran in, moved me to the hallway, really small bathroom, no pulse, he calls 911 & does CPR until the paramedics arrive and restart my heart. And, this may not "qualify" for this thread, but it sure counts in my book. I've died on the operating table twice and once in ICU for 4 minutes. So, yeah, I've definitely had my life saved a few times. No pulse is no pulse no matter who or what brings you back! I'm eternally grateful and give thanks every day.
